West Brom V The Toon: Tips Round-Up

My Tips For West Bromwich Albion V Newcastle United: Round-Up

Rather worryingly, Norwich, Stoke and the mackems all won this weekend which means that the cushion of teams between us and relegation is getting ever smaller.  Wigan or Villa still look the favourites to be the third team relegated, but three points against Liverpool on Saturday would certainly ease the nerves.

Here's how my tips got on...

Toon Tips:

Match Result:
30 points on Draw at 3.4 - WIN 102 points
It was a game of two halves, with chances not taken in the first half ultimately proving costly as West Brom came out with far more purporse in the second half, and a Billy Jones equaliser in the 64th minute meant that in the end we went away with a point.

1st Goalscorer:
15 points on Papiss Cisse at 6.5 - LOSS

To Win Either Half:
20 points on Newcastle To Win Either Half at 2.0 - WIN 40 points

Half With Most Goals:

20 points on Second Half at 2.0 - LOSS

Both Teams To Score:
15 points on Both teams To Score - Yes at 1.62 - WIN 24 points

Making an overall return of 166 points and therefore an overall profit of 66 points.

General football tips:

Norwich v Reading - Match Result:
15 points on Draw at 3.75 - LOSS

Tottenham V Man City - Winning Margin:

15 points on Man City By Exactly One Goal at 3.75 - LOSS

Swansea V Southampton - Match Result:
20 points on Southampton at 3.0 - LOSS

Man United V Aston Villa - Win To Nil:
25 points on Man United To Win To Nil at 2.2 - WIN 55 points

Hull V Bristol City - Half Time/Full Time:
25 points on Hull/Hull at 2.0 - LOSS

Making an overall return of 55 points and therefore an overall loss of 45 points.

Despite a poor performance from my general football tips this week, they're still leading in the head to head totals:
Newcastle tips - 13.5
General football tips - 16.5

. . . . . . . .

The bookies seem confident that we'll stay up as SkyBet currently have us priced at 17.0 to avoid relegation, with Aston Villa priced at 2.75 and Wigan the favourites for the drop at 1.73.  Our final four fixtures are:

Liverpool (h)
West Ham (a)
QPR (a)
Arsenal (h)

Ideally we could have done with easier home matches but on the positive side, West Ham are safe now and can't make Europe, and barring a miracle QPR will already be relegated by the time we play them.
