Everton V The Toon: Tips Round-Up

"...the inconsistency being shown was disturbing at one point." ...Alan Pardew

Alan Pardew would get few arguments that the inconsistency of Newcastle is disturbing.  He also talked about restoring a bit of pride in the second half, which we did, but it's also worth mentioning the following insightful comment from twitter, "That second half shouldn't fool anyone. That was as much about Everton switching off than any so-called comeback."

My tips followed a similar 'game of two halves' pattern as Monday's match with my Newcastle tips being a total washout and my general football tips making a reasonable overall profit.

This is the breakdown on how my general football tips got on...

General Football Tips:

Tottenham V Chelsea - Over/Under 2.5 Goals:
10 points on Under 2.5 Goals at 1.95 (Stan James) - WIN 20 points

Stoke City V Norwich City - Match Result:
10 points on Stoke at 2.0 (General) - LOSS

QPR V Middlesborough - Match Result:
10 points on QPR at 1.8 (Coral, Bet Victor, William Hill) - WIN 18 points

QPR V Middlesbrough - Correct Score Betting:
10 points on QPR To Win 1-0 at 8.0 (Ladbrokes) - LOSS

Accumulator:
10 points on:  (Stan James)  - WIN 29 points
Burnley V Charlton - Burnley at 1.9
Leicester V Barnsley - Leicester at 1.53

Making a return of 67 points from 50 points and therefore a 17 point profit.

As I mentioned a couple of weeks ago, I'll be taking a break from making tips for a few months, but given the inconsistency of the Toon at the moment that's probably for the best.
