The Toon V Everton: Tips Round-Up

My Tips For Newcastle United V Everton: Round-Up

Every match I give myself 100 points to place a few hypothetical bets on Newcastle and 100 points to place a few general football bets using the odds available from SkyBet.com.  I then compare how the two sets of bets perform and analyse whether it's better to bet with your heart or your head.

Another disappointing result for the Toon resulted in a loss-making week for my Newcastle tips.  This is how things turned out…

Match Result:
20 points on Draw at 3.3 – Draw
LOSS
Despite an encouraging first half performance, this was our 9th league defeat from our last 11 league games, which, together with the reliance of youth on our bench, should surely have underlined to Ashley the need to strengthen our squad during the transfer window.

Both Teams To Score:
20 points on Both Teams To Score - Yes at 1.57 – WIN 31 points
7 of our last 10 league matches have seen b
oth teams score.

Team Bets:
30 points on Both Teams To Score In 2nd Half at 2.88 - LOSS

Team Bets:
10 points on both teams to score in both halves at 13.0 - LOSS

Goals:
10 points on Newcastle to score 2+ goals at 2.25 - LOSS

Half Time Result:
10 points on Draw at 2.25 – WIN 23 points

Making an overall return of 54 points from 100 points and therefore an overall loss of 46 points.

It was also a disappointing week for my general football tips with:

Brentford V Bournemouth - Match Result:
15 points on Draw at 3.5

...proving to be the only winning tip for a return of 53 points.

Making an overall return of 53 points from 100 points and therefore an overall loss of 47 points.

The running head to head totals between my Newcastle tips and general football tips currently stand at:

Newcastle tips – 9.5
General football tips – 7.5

I’ll be skipping the cup game against Brighton tomorrow and posting my next set of tips for our away trip to Norwich some time next week.
