The Toon V Reading: Tips Round-Up

My Tips For Newcastle United V Reading: Round-Up

Every match I give myself 100 points to place a few hypothetical bets on Newcastle and 100 points to place a few general football bets using the odds available from SkyBet.com.  I then compare how the two sets of bets perform and analyse whether it's better to bet with your heart or your head.

Once again my general football tips outperformed my Toon tips, so let's hope the new signings can bring a change of fortunes as at the moment you would have to say it's best to avoid betting on the Toon.  Here's how my tips performed...

Match Result:
20 points on Newcastle at 1.73 - LOSS
With twenty minutes to go we were heading for three points and my Toon tips were looking at a clean sweep as all five of my tips were on course to be winning bets.  Unfortunately though, Reading manager Brian McDermott won the battle of the substitutions and two goals from substitute Adam Le Fondre in the last twenty minutes saw us throw away the game.

Team Total Goals:
20 points on Newcastle To Score Exactly 1 Goal at 3.1 - WIN 62 points
We've now scored exactly one goal in 5 of our last 8 league games.

Winning Margin:
Puma20 points on Newcastle By Exactly 1 Goal at 3.75 - LOSS

Team Bets:
20 points on Newcastle To Keep A Clean Sheet at 2.63 - LOSS

Correct Score:
20 points on Newcastle To Win 1-0 at 8.5 - LOSS

Making an overall return of 62 points from 100 points and therefore an overall loss of 38 points.

Once again I had better success with my general football tips...

West Brom V Aston Villa - Double Chance:
25 points on Aston Villa or Draw at 2.1 - WIN 53 points

Swansea V Stoke - Match Result:
25 points on Swansea at 2.15 - WIN 54 points

Chelsea V Arsenal - Match Result:
15 points on Arsenal at 4.33 - LOSS

Tottenham V Man United - Match Result & Both Teams To Score:
15 points on Man United To Win and Both Team To Score at 4.0 - LOSS

Southampton V Everton - Match Result:
20 points on Draw at 3.6 - WIN 72 points

Making an overall return of 179 points from 100 points and therefore an overall profit of 79 points.

Our away trip to Aston Villa on Tuesday is going to be crucial and I'll be making my tips at the weekend.
