My Tips For Spurs V The Toon

Every match I give myself 100 points to place a few hypothetical bets on Newcastle and 100 points to place a few general football bets using the odds available from SkyBet.com.  I then compare how the two sets of bets perform and analyse whether it's better to bet with your heart or your head.

A 6-0 victory over Spurs on Saturday would see us move into the top half of the table (at least for a few hours), but perhaps that's being a little bit optimistic!  Here are my tips...

Tottenham are unbeaten in their last nine league games, but they haven't been quite so dominant in recent matches with three of their last four league matches ending as draws.  Given our last two performances we look more than capable of giving Spurs a good match, and therefore the 4.0 on offer for another draw seems tempting.

1st Team To Score:
20 points on Newcastle at 2.63
We've started games well recently and scored first in 6 of our last 8 league games, so the 2.63 on offer looks like a reasonable bet.

Draw No Bet:
20 points on Newcastle at 3.75
I've been caught out in the last two games by underestimating us, so to cover the possibility of another winning performance I'm going to cover myself with a bet in the Draw No Bet market.

Half Time Result:
20 points on Newcastle at 4.5
We've been leading at half time in each of our last three matches.

Half With Most Goals: 
20 points on 2nd Half at 2.0

Swansea v QPR - Match Result:
20 points on Draw at 3.6

Man United V Everton - Match Result & Both Teams To Score:
20 points on Man United To Win and Both Team To Score at 3.1

Liverpool V West Brom - Handicap Betting (-2):
15 points on Liverpool -2 at 3.75

Middlesbrough V Barnsley - Match Result:
15 points on Barnsley at 4.33

Oxford V Bristol Rovers - Match Result:
15 points at Bristol Rovers at 4.2
